Today, companies invest heavily in their workspaces: renovations, innovative build-outs, new equipment — without always being able to measure their real impact on employees.

How can you tell whether a work environment truly improves team well-being, strengthens collaboration between departments, or fosters collective engagement day to day?

From this observation came Spaces that Matter, a tool that is both participatory and scientific, placing employees' lived experience at the heart of the performance of work environments.

Do your spaces really create value for your teams and your company?

In practice, STM enables you to:

Understand attractiveness

Pinpoint exactly what makes people want to come to the office and what holds teams back from returning.

Objectify human impact

Quantify the real contribution of places to engagement, well-being, collaboration and performance.

Identify the levers

Spot what hinders or drives collective performance in order to prioritize actions.

A framework that is one of a kind

Grounded in human experience

Alongside technical standards, we measure what really matters: how people feel and the impact on them.

Centered on participation

Employees take an active part in the assessment — they share their genuine perception of the spaces they occupy.

Aligned with the changing world of work

Hybrid work, new management cultures, openness to the world: our framework takes today's realities into account.

Complementary to existing labels

HQE, WELL and BREEAM measure the building. We bring the behavioral, cultural and social dimension of the place.

A multidisciplinary scientific foundation

A framework grounded in neuroscience, environmental psychology, ergonomics, organizational sociology and behavioral economics. More than 200 references from complementary scientific fields.

Spaces That Matter certification

The Spaces That Matter label is based on a questionnaire rigorously built with the Fabrique Spinoza, a think tank renowned for its work on the world of work. It draws on more than 200 scientific references.

Step 1

Subscription & Roll-out

The company subscribes. The questionnaire is sent to all employees — they are the ones who assess their spaces.

Step 2

Scoring & analysis

The responses are analyzed and produce an overall score across the 8 dimensions. A detailed report is delivered to the organization.

Step 3

Debriefing (optional)

A session with our experts to analyze the results in detail and define concrete areas for improvement.

Step 4

Award of the Label

The label is valid for 2 years and must be renewed, ensuring regular follow-up and continuous improvement of the spaces.

Preparing for the label

Start with an exploratory audit to take stock of your spaces, even before beginning the certification process.

The exploratory audit gives you:

  • Your position on each of the 8 axes of the employee experience
  • The strengths of your work environment
  • The areas to strengthen in order to obtain the label
This assessment can serve as a starting point for a certification process or for improving your workspaces
